Kickstart Your iPhone By Aaron Tru

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Brian Yanity on an undisclosed and beautiful beach in Orange County, CA. He had an amazing invention, but needed help bringing his product to life.  ROF Industries Inc. was the perfect place to go!

When producing a marketing video many variables come into play. Buzz words, call-to-action, and many other tools come into play when creating a successful multimedia marketing campaign. At ROF we have nearly two decades of experience producing engaging, one-of-a-kind multimedia marketing materials.

In this case, ROF was able to use key elements of these basic principles along with many more to help create a great video that brought Mr. Yanity’s product to life.

As an inventor, Brian is literally an expert in producing products.  Unfortunately, having an incredible product is not always enough. One must have sales and marketing materials that clearly explain what the product is, how it works, and ideal usages for it.

This is why we helped create a Kickstarter video for Brian Yanity.  Now he has the ability to plunge himself into endless possibilities with a worldwide audience for his new video!

ROF loves seeing our clients do well and we hope to always play a role in his continued success.  If you or anyone you know needs help creating marketing materials for businesses of any size please contact us! We have marketing packages that can easily be afforded with most any budget!!

The Kickstarter campaign is now live, please click the link below to see more:

The Spirit of Santa Monica

In honor of Spirit Day we would like to congratulate 2 of our favorite people- Ivan & Juan.  We were lucky enough to work with this couple and photograph their very special day.  They chose a beautiful location near the beach in Santa Monica, included their adorable baby girl in the wedding ceremony and were surrounded by close family and friends.  We have made friends for life and will be visiting them when we cross Puerto Rico off of our bucket list.  Congrats again and go purple!  🙂

18 Years of Wedded Bliss

It’s pretty rare to meet a couple that has been married for 18 years and even rarer to meet one as happy as Janeane and Ray are!  It was inspiring and an absolute blast working with them!  We were honored to help them document their 18 year anniversary with a sunset photo shoot at Bolsa Chica Beach.  We were really lucky to have such a beautiful sunset as a backdrop.  We love photo shoots at this beach for this exact reason!JP Warm LaughDreamy LaughterJP Palm Trees & SunVert Warm SilhoutteJP Palm Trees & SunJP Sunset KissJP See The SunDreamy LaughterVert Color Of LoveROF Industries Inc. =)Main Pic

Hollywood Cool In Palm Springs Hot

One of our favorite weddings was at a fabulous hotel in Palm Springs with a really fun couple named Marlene and Edgar.  They chose the perfect hotel to capture the vintage Hollywood look that they were hoping for.  We had so much fun helping them document their special day with both photos and video.  We wish them all the best!

Traveling With A Toddler

We have a lot of people ask us how we manage to travel so much with a toddler.  Well yes, it is a lot of work but it is so worth it!  Getting to see your little one’s face while they explore new places, hear new languages and see a different way of life is truly priceless.  Even if they won’t remember it, I believe it helps shape the person they will become.  If you’re up for a bit of a challenge, take your toddler on your next trip and create memories that you will treasure for years to come.  Below are some tips that might help:

  1. In my opinion, the airplane ride is the most difficult part.  Make sure you have everything you need to keep them occupied while on the plane- DVD player ready with cartoons, LeapPad, books, toys, favorite foods, etc.  I always like to bring a brand new DVD or toy to help hold the little one’s interest.  Even if it’s just for 10 minutes, it’s 10 minutes of not being “that parent” with the screaming child.  🙂
  2. Research the location ahead of time.  Find out where you can buy all the necessities so that you don’t have to pack extra suitcases.  Things like diapers, swim diapers, baby wipes, food and formula can all be purchased when you get to your final destination.  Just be prepared and know where you need to go ahead of time and if they have your specific brand so that you’re not stuck without something that you need.
  3. Tell the place you are staying that you have a toddler and see what they can do to help toddler-proof your room.  You would be surprised how many hotels will supply you with a Pack N Play, highchair, plastic plugs for outlets and more.  It’s a big help having some of these necessities in your room.
  4. Do even more research and find the toddler-friendly activities that you and your little one can enjoy while on your trip.  This doesn’t have to be anything fancy.  Something as simple as a calm beach, beautiful park or little toy store will work just fine.  That’s the nice thing about toddlers; they don’t need the big “Disneyland” experience to have fun.  Just get creative and look for new things to enjoy together.  Try to allow plenty of time and don’t try to stick to a rigid schedule.
  5. Relax!  I have to remind myself of this all the time.  No matter how much research you do, how well you pack or how much thought you put into it, things will go wrong.  Luckily it’s never the end of the world, it’s just unexpected- diapers failing while on the plane when the seatbelt sign is on, tantrums at restaurants you couldn’t wait to enjoy, etc.  Most of the time these mishaps end up being the funniest stories later and serious blackmail for when your toddler is an adult.  Keep your sense of humor and try to laugh when things go wrong.  Try hard to go with the flow and remember that traveling should be fun.  🙂

Surfs Up in SoCal

Everyone knows that ROF Industries Inc. works with corporate clients, brides, celebrities and much more but sometimes people forget about our love for action sports.  Having earned his stripes as an action sports videographer, ROF production specialist Aaron Tru was fortunate enough to revisit his roots and work with a professional Paddle Surfer this week in beautiful Huntington Beach, CA.

This week marked the city’s annual Stand Up World Tour.  The Stand Up World Tour is the Official World Championship Tour for the sport of Stand Up Paddle Surfing and is held at the same location as the U.S. Open of Surfing, in Huntington Beach, CA.  In desperate need of marketing materials to increase sponsorship opportunities, Paddle Surfer Josh enlisted the help of ROF.  Our goal was to shoot action-packed video, demonstrating the fluidity of Josh in the water, along with his arsenal of incredible stunts and flair.  We produced a video with a few things in mind:  Not just to show off Josh’s surfing ability, but to market him as someone a brand would want to have representing them.  That meant using natural light, nature, the water, sand, the pier and other props both natural and manmade to accent his qualities.

ROF also provided a photo shoot.  Our goal was to show our client in several poses that are consistent to the water sports genre.  In the end, we had an incredible time doing what we love, where we love to be.  We love producing video/photo content and we love the beach!!  We feel thrilled that our client is now outfitted with a professional quality HD sponsorship video and photos.  These specific things will help our client make a living doing what he loves, as he now has marketing materials to show potential sponsors and clients of his own!

If anyone in Southern California from Santa Barbara to Mexico is ever in need of promotional video/photos, please do not hesitate to contact us!  We specialize in recruiting/sponsorship videos for college recruits, pro athletes, high school traveling teams and much more.  From the Pee Wee Leagues, all the way to the pros, ROF is your one-stop shop for your Sports related marketing materials!

San Diego Surrogacy Shoot

For the last few months ROF Industries has had the pleasure of working with Surrogacy Together located in sunny California. We have been working on several projects with the organization, and recently we joined them down in San Diego to cover their fundraiser at the Marriott near Seaport Village.

First order of business, we spoke with a young couple that is currently beginning the process of finding a surrogate to help them expand their family.

1You may remember the video we produced for Surrogacy Together where we followed the Teske family with their embryo transfer in Los Angeles (see video at the end of this blog!).  We caught up with the Teskes at the So Cal fundraiser and got an AWESOME update on their transfer. We will be continuing with their story, and will be able to share some EXCITING news with you soon!2For my fellow photo/video geeks… the above picture gives you an idea of a typical lighting setup for our interviews. We typically use an ARRI setup consisting of three lights. One light backlights our subjects giving them a ‘glow’ and separating them from the background. The second light is used to splash color on the background.

Using colored gels and light manipulators we can add a little flare to an otherwise dull wall inside a hotel conference room. 3The picture seen above shows the final image product. The third and final light used here was a softbox pointed directly at our subjects. Again, this info is just for the production nerds like ourselves.

After the family interviews inside, we headed out to the rooftop to cover the event itself. The view was incredible!! The Coronado Bridge provided a gorgeous backdrop for our interview with Dr. Kumar.4You will get to know Dr. Kumar a little better in our upcoming video for his transfer facility. Getting to see the process, speaking with the Embryologist and watching a transfer first hand has really opened our eyes to just how special this service is! We can’t wait to share the video and introduce you to the team that is helping the Teske family… and so many others… experience parenthood in ways most of us may never know.5Shortly before sundown, Jon Anderson (with Surrogacy Together) took to the podium to introduce each of the guest speakers at the fundraiser. He also shared his own story about how surrogacy has changed his life.6Next up was San Diego 6 News’ Brooke Landau. Brooke was also able to benefit from the surrogacy process and her story is not to be believed! She was joined on the mic with her little miracle named Hudson. After hearing testimonials like hers it is easy to see why surrogacy is such an important option for couples that wish to expand their families.7Lesa Slaughter is an attorney who is passionate about surrogacy law for good reason. She has also gone through the process of having a surrogate, and now she donates some of her time and services each year to help people who may not otherwise be able to move forward due to financial reasons.8After the speeches, the sun had set far beyond the horizon. That didn’t stop everyone in attendance from enjoying the food, music and conversation.9Although everyone had a blast in San Diego that night, I really don’t think anyone had as much fun as the kiddos! Seemed like every time our eyes turned to the dance floor there were children playing and dancing the night away!10We are currently editing the video from the night of the fundraiser. Once it has been signed off on and approved, we will bring it to you right here on rofindustries.com!!
